LIVE LONG AND PROSPER: Keya Hencz (left) and Kami Hencz, dressed up as Klingons for the John Gregory Memorial Library's Cosmic Costume Contest on July 28. The Klingon outfits were the brainchild of brother Kody Kencz, a Star Trek fan who not only conceived the Klingon idea but helped with the costumes as well. The Hencz girls also marched in costume during the Whitehall Frontier Days Parade.
Half of the Whitehall High School Class of 1950 attended a 50-year reunion in Whitehall during Frontier Days weekend on July 28-29-30, and all the attendees came from coast to coast. A total of thirteen members of the Class of 1950 attended.
WHS Organizer of the Week: Jefferson Valley Presents (JVP). JVP has made a lot of progress in the last year toward the production of an outdoor theoretical historic presentation of the Lewis & Clark Expedition. JVP continues to fundraise and make plans for a summer 2001 project.
