Wortman Appointed to Powell Commission

The Powell County Commission hired Leonard Wortman, a three-year Garrison resident and a former Jefferson County commissioner of 19 years, nearly on the spot, to the District 3 seat the day of Wortman’s interview on September 1.

Former District 3 Commissioner Dwight Bacon, who was elected last year, resigned, effective July 18.
