GEORGIA, I have a question,

I’ve been invited to a wedding—not a family member, just a couple I’ve known for years. The couple getting married knows I am married as well. I wasn’t allowed a plus one. I sent in my RSVP as a ‘not attending’ because of this.

Now the bride’s family is contacting me, asking why I’m not coming, and not accepting the answer that if my wife can’t come, I won’t be coming. I’m getting harangued from multiple directions. I’m not even family, so I don’t understand the importance of my attendance.
