Lepinsky Takes on the 779km Camino Frances Route

An enduring pilgrimage has been going on in Europe for over a thousand years. Millions of pilgrims have traveled a dozen different routes, all converging in Spain at the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela. This is where the remains of Saint James are alleged to be buried.

This year alone, over half a million pilgrims from all over the world walked to Santiago. Some walk for spiritual and cultural reasons. Some pilgrims are devout Catholics.
