Fresh Cut Trees Available from Garden Club

Once again, the Whitehall Garden Club (WGC) will be offering fresh-cut Christmas trees for a $20 donation per tree.

This year you can pre-order your fresh-cut Jack Pine at the Whitehall Ledger office. Please stop by 23 W Legion, fill out an order form, and leave your cash donation or check, made out to the Whitehall Garden Club, in the provided envelope.

Weather permitting, our merry woodcutters will take to the woods between December 1st and December 5th. Trees will be available for pickup on Saturday, December 6th, by the shed on the Main Street Green. Presales have first pick of the lot between 10 AM and noon. Can't make that time? No worries, we will choose for you and set your tree aside before opening up sales to the general public from noon to 4 PM.

The money raised from this event, in combination with other funds, is given back to the community in the form of a scholarship to a graduating senior, upkeep and continuing improvements to the Blue and Gold Star Memorials, as well as the Native Plant Garden. WGC also sponsors a community educational event on Arbor Day, which also includes tree sales, and a generous number of trees given away to honor our town's designation as a Tree City.
