Dear Editor,
There are many times in our lives when common sense clashes irritably with policies established by higher authorities. Our current era seems to be one of those times.
Granted, it was back in the 1770s when a group of founding leaders drafted the U.S. Constitution, which was later ratified by the established colonies. Its introductory paragraph, known as The Preamble, summarized the precepts of legitimate governance:
