Jefferson County, FWP Lands & Town of Whitehall Enter State I Fire Restrictions

Lands in Jefferson County managed by Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks, as well as the Town of Whitehall and non-FWP county lands are now under Stage I fire restrictions. Restrictions for county lands and Whitehall began Friday, August 14; FWP lands began August 15.

Under Stage I restrictions, building, maintaining, attending, or using a fire or campfire is prohibited unless an exemption is made.
