BEST OF SHOW: Maggie Scott, 15, of Whitehall, took Best of Show honors with her Guernsey cow, Lilac, in the junior overall livestock competition at the Jefferson County Fair. Maggie is a member of the Rocky Mountain Rascals 4-H Club and has been active in 4-H for seven years.
One of the major attractions at the Whitehall Fall Arts and Crafts Festival, and a highlight of the arrival of the toughest train, is the Whitehall Lewis & Clark Bicentennial Murals. Ten Lewis and Clark murals depict actual Expedition activities or moments in the Jefferson Valley; the Whitehall Chamber of Commerce sponsors the murals. The newest mural, in 2001, is on display at the old Tait Garage building at 11 N. Division Street.
