One of the major attractions at the Whitehall Fall Arts and Crafts Festival, and a highlight of the arrival of the toughest train, is the Whitehall Lewis & Clark Bicentennial Murals. Ten Lewis and Clark murals depict actual Expedition activities or moments in the Jefferson Valley; the Whitehall Chamber of Commerce sponsors the murals. The newest mural, in 2001, is on display at the old Tait Garage building at 11 N. Division Street.
