An Open Letter to Representative Mark Reinschmidt:

Dear Mark,

You were appointed to this position after our elected Representative, marta Bertoglio, stepped down. Now you are standing for election by the people of HD 75. As one of your constituents, I need to know your positions on many subjects.

You attended a meeting of Whitehall Indivisible last year when you were first appointed and basically stated that you were very new to this and did not have many answers to our questions, other than that you would vote your conscience. Now that these months have passed, and you have been attending committee meetings,etc. in Helena, you should be more informed.

Pat Sullivan is challenging you for this seat, and he has been very forthright with his answers and solutions to some of Montana's pressing problems. It would be very helpful for HD 75 voters to have you attend a forum where you can share your thoughts and answer questions. Even better, a debate between the candidates would be most informative.

Whitehall Indivisible is a non-partisan group that meets every Wednesday night at 6 pm in the Whitehall School Library. They have contacted you a number of times in the hope that you will attend a meeting. How can voters make an informed decision when they know nothing about their candidate?
