    Dear Editor: This past summer, my husband and I had occasion to make use of Whitehall Public Transportation's ride service, my husband more often than I did. What a blessing it is to have this service in this town. We are so appreciative of how efficient, how accommodating, and just plain nice they are. This is a wonderful part of our town.     Dear Editor, Years ago, Paige Asten told me that they had moved to Montana because in Texas they were snubbed as a mixed marriage. They found a home here. I’m proud of Whitehall for that. Paige and Hervey ran an excellent massage therapy school. For those students who were serious about learning, they received all they needed to have a good career.     Dear Editor, I have a favor to ask. There is a Veteran’s Memorial in Legion Park that is straight across from the Ledger Office and KBar Restuarant. Two large stones that note veteran’s of the 1st World War and others. Many residents haven’t even noticed it. There is a small flower garden there. I took care of it for years and when I couldn’t I hired a couple to cut it down and clean it. They have moved away. The garden is badly in need of TLC.
