    In the fall of 2011, S.A. Neff Jr., loaded up his van and made the nearly 2,000-mile trip from western Pennsylvania to Montana.     Delone E. Smith passed away September 20th 2018 at St. James Hospital with her family by her side. She was born September 22, 1939 to John and June (Hunt) Huber in Butte Montana. Growing up, she spent much time having fun with her cousins (Hunts) in Waterloo/Whitehall. She graduated with the Butte High Class of 57. She worked for Metals Bank for some time and later married Ernest M. Smith of Butte in Butte Montana.     With the state meet scheduled for October 20, the Whitehall Cross Country team got a sneak peak of the state course at last week's Mountain West Invite in Missoula. Trojan head coach Kerry Sacry said everyone had decent times on what he called a tough course. "I wanted my runners to get a good feel for the course so they could plan their state run," he said.
