    For many years, Whitehall Rotarians have been recycling aluminum cans as one of their fundraising and community service projects. People have generously dropped their cans off at the county dump and the bin next to Jefferson Fresh Foods. Every couple of months, club members spend one to two hours sorting the dozens of bags into large white bags donated by a local talc plant. The bags are then hauled to a recycling center in Butte.     The Whitehall Council 8375 Knights of Columbus will host their Fish Fry on Friday, March 22, 2024, at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. The fry begins at 5:30 PM. The price is $10 per person or $30 for a family of four. If you wish, please bring a dessert to share. A BINGO night will be held on Saturday, March 23, after the 5 PM Mass at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. Donations are graciously accepted, and prizes will be awarded.     The spring Whitehall Hunter Ed course will be held at the Whitehall Community Center. The first class will be on April 3rd from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. The following week, classes will be on April 8th, 9th, 11th, and 12th from 6:30 PM to 9 PM. The test and field exercise will be on April 13th from 8 AM to 4 PM. Students must attend all classes. Classes are free. Anyone born after January 1st, 1985, must have Hunter Education certification to hunt in Montana.     Registration is now open for Montana State University’s summer writing camps for youths in grades 3 through 12. The camps will be held in July on MSU’s campus. The Youth Writing Camp is a five-day camp from 9 AM to 3 PM July 8-12 for students entering grades 5 through 12 in fall 2024. This camp offers commuter and resident options.
