Serving Southern Jefferson County in the Great State of Montana

Between the Stacks

I am writing this from Chicago where I am visiting my youngest daughter. The city has some great things to offer but I am ready to be back in Montana! The “Erin in Exile” exhibit will arrive on Wednesday and we will be setting up that afternoon. The Friends will be hosting the opening reception on Thursday, May 4 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. You are all invited to view the exhibit and enjoy some wonderful treats. The exhibit will be in the library until the last week in May when it goes on to Missoula Public.

Don’t forget the Library will be closed on Memorial Day but open normal hours on Saturday. I know I am reminding everyone multiple times but every holiday I have patrons who do not realize we are closed, so please help me spread the word. I was so busy getting the calendars out that I listed us as being open on Memorial Day. The new calendars are correct and we are not open that Monday. I am attributing it to travel fever.

Speaking of travel, if you are flying and not sure how to print or download your travel information please stop in at the Library. We would be happy to assist you in printing boarding passes or downloading information. I have now used multiple airline apps and they are very helpful in locating gate assignments, late flights, and departure changes. If you are like me and always end up with less than an hour to change planes, they are very helpful in saving time in getting to the right gate.

Summer blockbusters are on the way. Look for new books from your favorite authors coming in over the next few months. Summer is a great time to enjoy an afternoon of reading and hide out from the heat. We have also receive many new movies to watch with your family and friends. If you have any suggestions for movies, television series, books, etc., please let me know so we may get them ordered for everyone to enjoy.
