Bidding opens for town ambulances

Auction also scheduled

The Whitehall Council approved unanimously to open public bidding on four ambulances owned by the town.

The governing body passed four resolutions at a special meeting last week that opened the bidding process. The town is selling a 2015 Chevrolet Ambulance with a Stryker Cot and Spot Chains. The minimum bid for the ambulance is $65,000. The minimum bid for the 2011 Ford F450 with a Stryker Cot is $25,000. The minimum bid for a 1998 For Ambulance with Stryker Cot is $6,000. The minimum bid for a 1997 Ford E350 Ambulance without a Stryker Cot is $2,500. The bids are due to the town by December 8 at 5 p.m. More information about bidding can be found on the public notice page in this week’s Ledger.

The Town of Whitehall will also be hosting a public auction December 2 for miscellaneous ambulance related equipment and items. The auction is scheduled for both the Public Works Shop at 201 East Legion and the former Ambulance Barn at 207 E. Legion. The auction is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
