Ruby Valley Medical Center Welcomes Frances Lewis, APRN, FNP-C

The Ruby Valley Medical Center welcomes our newest healthcare provider, Frances Lewis, APRN, FNP-C. Frances is a nurse practitioner seeing patients in our Twin Bridges clinic from Monday through Thursday.

While Frances is interested in all aspects of medical treatment and caring for patients, she particularly enjoys women’s healthcare and pediatrics. Frances received her Bachelor of Science degree in neuroscience from Hamilton University in Clinton, New York. She earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing and her Master of Science in nursing for family nurse practitioner at Simmons University in Boston, Massachusetts. Frances is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and has certificates in basic life support (BLS), advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), and pediatric advanced life support (PALS). As a registered nurse, Frances worked at Central Maine Medical Center and Intermed. After finishing her masters, Frances spent a year in urgent care at ConvenientMD.

Frances and her extended family have been visiting the Ruby Valley area for years, staying in their seasonal home for four months every summer and enjoying the area’s excellent fishing and hiking. Last summer, Frances and her husband, Ben, decided they wanted to live in the Ruby Valley year-round and moved from Portland, Maine with their two sons. In Portland, Ben was a high school administrator and taught freshman English. After moving to the Ruby Valley, he pivoted his career towards fly fishing and took a position at Winston Rod.

When Frances isn’t busy caring for her patients or her sons, she enjoys running, hiking, skiing, fly fishing, reading and cooking.
