Stroke is a medical emergency. When it happens, every minute matters and calling 911 right away can save a life.

Too often, people wait to see if symptoms pass or try to drive themselves to the hospital. That delay costs precious time. During a stroke, parts of the brain are deprived of blood and oxygen, and brain cells begin to die within minutes. The faster treatment begins, the better the chance of recovery.
