Pies For Non-Profits at Fall Festival

Calling all pie bakers! Time to make your magic with fat, flour, fruit, and sugar to benefit Whitehall’s non-profits. Once again, the Whitehall Garden Club is sponsoring a SILENT PIE AUCTION and PIE by the SLICE during the Fall Festival taking place Saturday, October 22. Proceeds benefit the local non-profit YOU designate when dropping off your pies.

Thanks to the generosity of Colton Anderson, we will be located in the lobby of the Star Theatre. No wind, rain, sleet, or snow will dampen our spirits or make mush of your pie. There will be an area to enjoy your slice of pie out of the elements, or you can take it TO GO. In my extensive experience, pie is the perfect food – in a class all its own. Come enjoy it for breakfast, lunch, an afternoon pick-me-up, or dessert.

Please bring your baked fruit pies to the Star Theatre between 9:30 and 10:00 am on the 22nd. Silent auction bidding begins at 10:00 and continues until 1:00 pm. Winning bidders will be able to pay for their pie and carry it away at that time. PIE by the SLICE will be available starting at 10:00 am and sold no later than 4:00 pm. We can’t guarantee we won’t run out of pie slices so buy early and often!

BAKERS, we need a pie for both fundraising opportunities. For local non-profits only including (but not limited to, and my sincere apologies if you are not listed here) Gold Junction Presents, the Whitehall Volunteer Fire Department, the Veterans, Rotary, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, 4 Paws, Friends of the Library, EMS, Whitehall PTSA Whitehall Booster Club, etc. Bakers, I am sure you have a favorite you wish to support or show your appreciation for their service.

Not a baker, then come show your support with a generous bid or by purchasing a slice of pie. Yes, calories for a cause!!!

Questions? Feel free to call or text me, Dorie, at 360-298-4026. Thank you in advance! I hope to see all of you at the Festival with a little flour on your apron and a little pie on your face.
