Jefferson Valley Fine Arts Adopts Mission, Vision

Jefferson Valley Fine Arts in Whitehall has recently adopted a formal mission and vision. The MISSION, simply being to provide the opportunity to area artists to exhibit their talents in a local event.

Artist participation is key for JVFA to continue with this endeavor. Our last event hosted during Frontier Days showed a significant increase in artist participation over the 2021 season. However, we still are working to reach our pre-covid artist exhibition level. We will continue to host events if our exhibition costs are met.

Our VISION is to build our participation and continue fundraising in order to provide an annual $500.00 scholarship to an area student. This will be the first year in that endeavor. Look for our newly added Stocking Stuffer Scholarship corner during the Christmas Festival exhibit! We are offering handmade stocking stuffers that were made and donated by the Painters in the Potting Shed to spearhead our fundraising efforts for the scholarship.

We are once again gearing up for the 2022 Christmas Festival exhibit and we are looking forward to a wonderful event featuring many of our local artists. The exhibit is scheduled for Saturday, December 10th at the Borden Conference Room from 9 AM - 5 PM. Artists are invited to sign their art on Friday, December 9th from 5 PM - 7 PM. at Borden’s. There is a $15.00 exhibit fee charged, but as always there will be no commission charged on sales. Please call Michele Franich @ 406 490-6586 to add your name to the list of exhibitors! Come join the fun!

We have enjoyed wonderful community support for our events and look forward to not only providing another great exhibit but also giving back to the community in the form of a scholarship opportunity.

Merry Christmas – we hope to see you at the Festival!
