50+ YEARS OF SERVICE: John Heide, with his wife, Nancy, at the October meeting.
The Jefferson Valley Conservation District (JVCD) had a retirement at its regular October 2026 board meeting.
John Heide just celebrated 55 years of service to the board and decided to retire. The board is very grateful for his years of service not only to this board but also to several conservation efforts throughout the years.
John may not be a regular at the meetings, but he will still be contributing to the conservation effort through several projects and programs that he helped start over the years.
