    For the first time since 1995, the Whitehall High School wrestling team captured a Divisional Championship. The Trojans had four individual champions and had another six finish in the top four to qualify for state at last Saturday's Southern B/C Divisional Tournament in Cascade.     Abundant moisture spilled into the Treasure State from the Pacific during January, boosting snowpack in all river basins to near or above normal for February 1. In some locations, the amount of water added to the snowpack was record setting.   • Gun Show This Week

    For the second time in five months, a gun show will be taking place at the Community Center. The Whitehall Gun Show is scheduled for Friday, February 14 to Sunday, February 16. A show also took place in September of 2019, the first in town since 2017 due to insurance issues. The show will be open Friday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is $1. The admission for children 12 and under with an adult is free.     Thelma Nettie Mannix Arkell passed away February 1, 2020 while residing at Copper Ridge nursing home in Butte, MT. Thelma was born in Deer Lodge, MT on May 24, 1934 to Ben and Edith Mannix. She is survived by her nine children, ten grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Thelma met the love of her life Jim (James) Arkell and Married in Helmville, MT on Feburary 10, 1953.     After 71 years Ted went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 27, 2019. Ted spent his retired years in Las Vegas, Nevada with his loving wife of 11 years, Susan Miller. He was born August 10, 1948, in Dillon, Montana to Theodore and Mary Miller. They resided at Monida. Theodore passed when Ted was a toddler. Ted and his mother moved to Lima.
