    Whitehall residents will have to wait a few more weeks to see if a recall election for Mayor Dale Davis and Town Council members Tom Jenkin, Gary Housman, Joe Adams and Vincent G. Keogh will move forward. A hearing Monday in the Jefferson County District Courtroom to determine if the recall election would proceed -- was called to an end after nearly 90 minutes of testimony.     Consistent high water temperatures and low stream flows have prompted Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks to close the entire Jefferson River to all fishing. The announcement was made Monday afternoon.     While she still may be 10 months away from graduating from high school, soon-to-be senior Madison Lombardi is already demonstrating leadership qualities far beyond her years. Last Friday, Lombardi hosted a blood drive at the Trinity United Methodist Baptist Church in Whitehall.     Several Red Flag Warnings were issued last week in Jefferson County and other areas in Southwest Montana. The warnings were issued last Friday by the United States National Weather Service in Great Falls. The were in effect in for all of Jefferson County. The Friday warning stated the gusty west-southwest winds combined with low relative humidity would create critical fire weather conditions.     Whitehall High School Interact Club members used the annual Frontier Days celebration as a way to give back. Members of the club had a booth at the two-day event, and sold old Whitehall High School uniforms as a fundraiser. Club member and soon to be senior Rabeca Kopf, and Club President Hunter Flynn both said they would be using proceeds to help pay for a girl in the Philippines to attend school.     The 2016 Bill Baycroft Memorial Rod Run had a record number of entrees with 91 who signed up for the popular Frontier Day's event. The Peoples Choice Award went to Duane Schmidt of Three Forks for his 2015 Dodge Hellcat. The first place finisher was Frank Padrotti of Butte for his 1940 Willys Coop.
