    It was a busy weekend of action for the Whitehall High School Tennis team. Competing at the Great Falls Tournament, the Lady Trojans had a win for each player who made the trip. The team went 12-10 in singles and 6-4 in doubles matches. Head Coach Kerry Sacry said it was good learning experience for his team. Britney Welker went 2-3 at number one singles for Whitehall.     The deadline for entries is nearing for the 2019 B-Y's Youth Rodeo in Whitehall. The longest running youth rodeo in Montana is set for Saturday, May 4 at the rodeo grounds and entries must be postmarked by Friday, April 19. Late entries will not be accepted.     Barrick Gold officials announced last week a final mill run to process gold ore at the Golden Sunlight Mine in Whitehall is currently scheduled for May.     The Whitehall High School basketball teams were well represented on the District 5B All-Conference teams. The Lady Trojans had two players who were selected first team All-Conference. Junior Asha Noyes and freshman Brynna Wolfe both received the prestigious honor. Eighth grader Jada Clarkson was named second team All-Conference.   • Department responds to multiple structure fire

    The Whitehall Volunteer Fire Department responded early Saturday morning to a multiple structure fire at a junk yard at the intersection of Piedmont and Kountz Roads. According to Fire Chief Jeremy Ward, the department was called out a 4:15 am. and remained on scene until 11 a.m. He reported several structures including a trailer and RV were fully involved.
