    As part of the Western Montana Zone, Jefferson County is, as of March 1st, transitioning from the winter burning season into the open burn period that runs annually from March through the end of November.     Local residents can learn more about the Holocaust through an upcoming adult education class. The Whitehall School District and Whitehall Community Library are hosting a four-session Holocaust Literature Class. The class will meet March 5, March 12, March 26 and April 19 at the library.     The Whitehall High School girls basketball team is moving on at the Southern B Divisional Tournament. The Lady Trojans used a balanced attack Wednesday night to pick up a 61-51 play-in win over Huntley Project. Whitehall will now move on to the double elimination bracket and an 8 p.m. Thursday matchup against top-seeded Colstrip.
