    A tailings reprocessing project could breathe new life into the Barrick Golden Sunlight Mine near Whitehall. At last week's Community Transition Advisory Committee Meeting, Steve Lloyd said the TSF 1 and 2 Tailing Projects are gaining lots of traction, adding they will be meeting soon with Barrick officials to get a yes or no answer on moving forward. According to Lloyd, the TSF 1 project could produce more than 200,000 ounces in 12 years and both projects could last between 30 and 32 years....

    After years of planning and hard work, the Whitehall Public Transportation Dick Gustin Memorial Bus Barn is now a reality. Local residents will have the opportunity to view the new facility at a special open house scheduled for Friday, September 27 from 1 to 3 p.m. at 1147 MT HWY 55 in Whitehall.     Elaine Ditello Ulrichny passed away on September 9th 2019 from complications related to Parkinson's disease. Elaine was born on February 10 1946 in Elizabeth, New Jersey to Anna and Michael Ditello. In 1969 she met her future husband Bill and they were together ever since. In 1980 Elaine, Bill and Daughter Erica moved to Bozeman Montana where Elaine worked for Kmart stores and Dana Design as a sewer making backpacks for Navy SEAL teams and others.     Fall has arrived in Southwest Montana and I must say it is easily my favorite season the year.     The Whitehall High School volleyball team battled to the end but ultimately fell in two hard-fought matches last week.
