Hi Folks, At last week’s regular meeting, we approved a Large Group Function Permit for Rockin’ the Rivers, contingent on the Sanitarian giving her final approval. We decided to purchase a building on Main Street in Boulder that is owned by Goldfields mining and Montana Tunnels. The cost of the building will be used to offset some of the delinquent taxes that are owed from Montana Tunnels. High water temperatures and low stream flows have prompted Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks to implement “hoot owl” restrictions on several rivers in Southwest Montana starting Wednesday, July 19. For the second consecutive year, ACT tests scores are up at Whitehall High School. Concerns about the dump in Cardwell were addressed last Thursday at a regular meeting of the Madison County Solid Waste and Recycling Board. The search for a missing Whitehall woman came to a tragic end Tuesday afternoon. The body of 21-year-old Kirsten Ryerson was found Tuesday afternoon on Point of Rocks Road near Whitehall.
