The Jefferson Valley Museum is sponsoring its first Ghost Walk History Tour on October 5th and 12th. The walking tour will start and end at the Star Theater and cover six city blocks. Starting time will be 6:30 PM for both dates. Tour tickets can be purchased at the Whitehall Coffee Co. and must be presented at the start of the tour. The per-person cost is $10 which includes the tour and a coupon for a small drink and popcorn at the Star Theater. There is a limit of 20 people per tour. The Reed family, along with friends and supporters, remembered 9/11 with flags, banners, and signs over the I-90 overpass on Monday afternoon. This is their sixth year of this remembrance activity. At the August meeting of the TIF Board, the Town of Whitehall requested a total of $34,000 to complete the installation of the new playground located on Legion Avenue. The ongoing project of the Whitehall Murals Restoration is still alive and vibrant! This year the murals at the Rocky Mountain Bank and the Billsgary Center (K-Bar) buildings will be replaced this fall. It is expected that both murals will be replaced before the good weather ends either in late September or early October. The new murals will be very similar to the previous murals although some changes have been made to make them more historically connected to the Lewis and Clark Journals and more vibrant in color. A 20-year-old Butte woman died on Sunday night after the kayak she was in on Delmoe Lake tipped over, according to Jefferson County Sheriff Tom Grimsrud. The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the scene at around 10 p.m. on Sunday after a friend of the victim on the other side of the lake called 911 after hearing a male yelling for a female.
