    ELIZABETH PULLMAN, Whitehall Ledger|Mar 15, 2023

The Whitehall Town Council’s March meeting was quick and to the point, lasting less than 45 minutes on Monday, March 13. PATTY HOWSER, Jefferson Valley Friends of the NRA|Mar 15, 2023

Who are the Friends of the NRA? What good can the Friends do for our community? First, let me explain that we work for a Grant program. The program is set up so one-half of the money we raise in Montana STAYS in Montana. The other half goes into a national pool for all to draw from. In both cases, it is a 501(c)3. None of the money is used politically. It is all charitable. Each year in January committees around the state meet in Helena and fund requested grants. This year we were able to...

At the February school board meeting held on Tuesday, February 7, Cardwell School board member Levi Simon appealed to the Whitehall School Board to address inconsistencies in the letter sent to elementary students by the school the previous week. • Cardwell School Named Best Elementary in State

    ELIZABETH PULLMAN, Whitehall Ledger|Feb 1, 2023

Montana is being flooded with transplants from all over the country looking for small-town, less-stress life. For many locals, this is frustrating because our Montana ways are being forgotten for big box stores, expensive condos, and less "traditional" ways of making a living in the Big Sky state. Schooling options are limited, all dependent upon where one decides to call home. With miles between each school, and private education options limited, students go to where they live closest.... Full story

  • The Whitehall Ledger Has Moved to 405 West Legion

    ELIZABETH PULLMAN, Whitehall Ledger|Dec 21, 2022
    1

After nearly four decades at 15 West Legion, the Whitehall Ledger vacated the space on December 20, 2022, for its new home at 405 West Legion. Where is that? many have already asked. Some know it as the Headstart building, others as the wrestling building; I myself will always know it as where Jane’s Hair once was. But yes, it is the dark grey building located across the way from Liberty Place’s corporate offices. Please use the west side entrance, in the alley. Signage is on its way and the office is coming together nicely. Please have pat...
