Police say in October of 2021, Carol Feist claimed to be her Bismarck-based in-laws to transfer $134,000 to a Montana title company. • Editorial: What You Will, and Will Not, See in the Ledger

    ELIZABETH PULLMAN, Whitehall Ledger|Dec 1, 2021
    1

I had an experience on Monday while covering the horrific bus vs van accident. The incident is something I cannot ignore and is what spurred this editorial. In February 2009, Dallice Smith was killed in a car accident on Highway 69. She was a friend, a former teammate on softball leagues, and someone the majority of our community knew by sight. At the time of her death, I worked at the Ledger. When news of her accident broke, the former owner and Editor of the Ledger chose to run photos of the scene. I disagreed with his decision, but I was...

  • 5 Reasons to Celebrate the Holidays Year Round

    ELIZABETH PULLMAN, Whitehall Ledger|Nov 17, 2021

While everyone knows my passion for Halloween, some might be surprised that I adore Christmas as well. I love Christmas cookies, singing carols, lying under the Christmas tree and looking up into the lights, and finding the perfect present for my loved ones. I may think that our stores start pushing Christmas a bit too early (come on, before Halloween is here?!) However, I definitely could get behind celebrating year round because of the following: 1. Holiday music is so happy and cheerful! Jingle Bells gets stuck in my head in the middle of...

"We took pictures of every...

    ELIZABETH PULLMAN, Whitehall Ledger|Oct 27, 2021

As of mid-summer, the residents who do not...

    ELIZABETH PULLMAN, Whitehall Ledger|Oct 6, 2021

In a small town like Whitehall it is common to see the same faces over and over again. At the grocery store. At the library. At the post office. Small town life at its finest. However, the same faces at every committee meeting - that’s something that needs to change. I’m calling out to the youth of our town, the newbies in our town, the retired of our town, the bored-and-need-something-to-do of our town...basically, I’m calling out to everyone. GET INVOLVED! Right now there are so many new committees, organizations, and non-profits who need...

Having also worked as reserve LAPD, Frankman said he was "open" to God's calling to teach; and he taught the words of the bible for nearly a decade to what many would consider the unteachable. Frankman completed seminary in order to further his bible...
