Whitehall middle school wrestlers had an awesome tournament Saturday, February 25th in Dillon. Eighth graders Joey Beebout, Gunner South, and JC Raty ranked first in their brackets. Dear Editor, With the legalization of recreational marijuana and the ensuing tax, the State of Montana has exceeded tax revenue expectations. Since then, the Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife and Parks has received 20% of the marijuana tax income for the purpose of funding wildlife habitats. Mark Lennon, a Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation community forester conducted the first-ever tree inventory of Whtiehall’s 369 public trees and presented his findings to the Vision 2010 Committee. Registration is now open for Montana State University’s summer writing camps for students in grades 3 through 12. The camps will be held in July on the MSU campus.
