9 passed into history as I finished reading a book, "The Insanity of God" by Nik Ripken. An easy read, very difficult content. Followers of Jesus Christ worldwide are persecuted, imprisoned and even killed. We take so much for granted. This is a quote from one of the many people that have survived the persecution. "Don't you ever give up in freedom what we would never give up in persecution---and that is our witness to the power of the resurrection of Jesus Christ." In II Peter we are told to "always be ready to give an answer for the hope...

No one had to dream of a white Christmas! The white fluffy stuff (called snow) was beautiful but created a variety of situations - cattle feeding, highway hazards. On the other hand, it provided the perfect setting for skis and sleds. In Job 38:22, God asked Job if he had “entered the treasures of the snow”? That’s interesting. A year ago Ken and Linda Glaus had their cattle the victims of an out of control semi truck whose driver didn't pay attention to the flagman and was not able to stop soon enough. That situation could have been so much worse - loss of human life. Moving livestock on Montana highways is not uncommon. The five mile trip from the Carmody ranch to bring the cattle home is usually uneventful. Prayer for this time was offered up and even in a heavy snow storm, the cattle arrived home safely. A...
