    Each year, The Frontier Days Parade honors an individual who exemplifies service to the community. The Grand Marshal is nominated by The Whitehall Chamber Frontier Days Committee and is recognized on parade day. Arlene Weber graciously accepted the nomination this year, and we are proud to announce her as our honoree. Arlene was born at the St. James Hospital in Butte and has lived in Whitehall for 61 years.     Since the age of four, nine-year-old Whitehall resident Hope Moriarty has taken part in the An Ri Ra Montana Irish Festival as a member of the Tiernan Irish Dancers. Next month, Moriarty will once again help to entertain festivalgoers, but this year holds a little more significance with her being joined by her sister, three-year-old Ceili Moriarty.     The family of Shadan LaHood, Lewis and Clark Caverns employees, and local residents came together last Saturday to discuss history. The event not only discussed the rich history of the Civilian Conservation Corp and their role in the park, but also the role LaHood played by housing the young conservationists starting in 1935 at LaHood Park. This was certainly the case last weekend in Whitehall when visitors from around the Western United States attended the "Amende" family reunion at the home of Dick and Carol Elshire.     The Lewis and Clark Caverns were alive with the sound of music on Sunday, June 26. Guests were swingin' and swayin' and clapping hands and singing along as they took a moment on their way to or from the Caverns Tour.     Former residents Jim Capp, Mrs. Charles Davis, Louise Capp Martin and Helen Michel recently came to visit the JV Museum to reminisce about the many adventures they had shared in this small western town. They brought friends from 'The Springs of Butte' an assisted living home and their friend Andrew who was their tour organizer and bus driver.
